September WEEKDAY schedule

September schedule is out. Nothing special in it, it's the usual bunch of cartoons only in different slots with Tom and Jerry leading the pack with record 8 showings. Bad news is that Puppy in my Pocket continues and still has 2 daytime slots, I was hoping this non classic cartoon will be a summer thing only. Hong Kong Phooey and Tom and Jerry Kids are axed from the schedule while King Arthur's Disasters only gets one overnight showing which is great news cause it's not a classic either. Another piece of good news is that Yogi Bear gets 2 weekday slots and The Flintstones have several daytime slots again which wasn't the case in the schedule before the current Twice as nice summer schedule. Also there will be new episodes of Garfield at 17.00 cet. The Addams Family is left with only one slot at 05.15 which is just too early.

Puppy in my Pocket came to all Boomerang versions in Europe in September. I'm not a fan of this show, it's far from being a classic, the animation is nothing special, it's a cartoon aimed at young girls. Hope it's not a sign of a future changes for Boomerang Europe, still a classic cartoons network. Anyway here's a promo for it, posted by OldMcBarney.

I really love the Twice as Nice bumpers, music and the supermarket theme are very nice, much better than that robot they used for last summer. Here's a nice bumper collection, again by OldMcBarney.

Welcome!

This is an unofficial blog dedicated to Cartoon Network's classic cartoons channel Boomerang in Europe. The pan European version airs in European countries that do not have their regional version so that basically means all countries except for UK,France,Germany,Spain, Nordic countries and Italy. Plus it's also seen in Africa and Middle East. I'll be updating the schedules and info about the channel regularly here. This is the best Boomerang version in Europe cause it still airs real classics and not just new baby toons like most other versions. Internationally the US version is still the best.

UPDATE: On October 12. a special version of Boomerang for Central & Easrern Europe was separated from the Pan European Boomerang. This new version airs in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Albania, Belarus, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia and CIS, Serbia, Slovak Rep, Slovenia, Ukraine. Since I now receive this new version for CEE this blog will focus on it's schedule and developments.
